In his two recent public pronouncements he has shown that he is not a thinker.

1. His statement/position on the smoking ban: A regional approach; a ban which will be uniform and possibly exempt small bars.

The mayor knew that other municipalities were considering it and it was simply a matter of time. Isn't Bloomington, Minneapolis, and St. Paul a regional approach? Thank the sweet lord for some brave people in Bloomington and Minneapolis.

2. His decision to speak out and support Bush after seeing/reading a bumper sticker.

This one needs no explanation.


This imbecile should just retire early and become a fulltime senile grandfather.

"I strongly urge anyone dissatisfied with his performance to take action. 13,000 signatures of registered voters are necessary."

Dissatisfied with his performance or just pissed that he chose to back Bush? Seems to me nobody bitched about his performance before, but now all of a sudden you want him recalled because he doesn't agree with YOU on who he backs for president. Recalls are not supposed to be about who someone supports for political offices. If you are truely dissatisfied with his performance then fine try a recall. I'd like to know what it is about his performance you don't like however.
But if people are just trying to recall him because he likes Bush, then that is pure abuse of the recall proceedure. And it just shows how some people will piss and moan and do whatever it takes to discredit someone who doesn't think like they do.
